Due to our continuous growth at RSS Infrastructure, we are seeking signalling technicians and installers with SMTH for signalling (S&T) maintenance in Llandudno. Casual work available for midweek, nights, and weekends, lasting up to nine months.
Duties:
- Carry out maintenance work on signalling equipment in line with Network Rail standards and schedules.
- Perform fault-finding tasks.
- Assist in investigating safety standards and system failures.
- Work with and support the development of the signalling team.
- Report any issues arising during maintenance, installation, and renewals.
Competencies and Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a Signalling Technician/Installer with SMTH Core Signals – colour light and mechanical.
- TPWS AWS Points – RCPL and HW2000.
- Level crossings – AHB, MCB & 843 barrier machines.
- Track circuits – EBI, DC & quick release SMTH core SFI 1 COSS, PC, PTS, Site Warden.
- Car driver with the ability to travel and work away from home if necessary.
- Ability to work nights and weekends when required.
Desirable Competencies:
- Modular signalling Aster / TI21 Frauscher axle counters AZLM.
