Flooring sales experience is essential.

We are currently working with a fantastic independent flooring business based in Brighouse, specialising in all types of flooring, homeware, and furniture. They support UK and overseas manufacturers of carpets and flooring and pride themselves on providing a 5-star service to every customer.

As a sales assistant, you will:

  • welcome customers into the store
  • understand their needs
  • guide them to the right products
  • assist with deliveries
  • maintain product stock
  • ensure correct point of sale
  • help keep high retail standards
  • complete necessary administration and sales quotations
  • arrange customer fitting and deliveries

You’ll need an eye for detail and be good with numbers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide professional advice to customers
  • Measure and estimate with confidence
  • Ensure individual sales targets are met
  • Use store paperwork and computerised systems
  • Liaise with third-party fitting teams and in-house fitting team
  • Call customers to update them on when products will be fitted
  • Assist with receiving deliveries
  • Complete daily accounting paperwork and manage payments in-store
  • Assist with stocking and merchandising of the store
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Deliver great customer service
  • Be a great communicator who loves to help people
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential
  • Keep the showroom clean and tidy
