About The Role
Location – Ty George, Bridgend – Full Time 39 Hours per week plus sleep ins – Hourly Rate £12.60 to £12.80 per hour.

Priority Childcare provides real support from real people. We are focused on the future, and our small and welcoming homes are staffed by teams of supportive carers who build trusting relationships with children and enable them to feel safe, secure, and cared for. We care for children who have support needs associated with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and work with them to help them meet their full potential and transition towards independence.
Ty George is a beautiful four-bedroom young adults home set in a peaceful location on the outskirts of the historical town of Bridgend. Located on two acres of land with its own driveway and spacious garden area, Ty George is in a perfect location for young people to move towards a transition home, foster care or towards independence.
A typical day will include:
- Providing high quality bespoke care to the young people we support, including keeping accurate records.
- Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment, and that it feels like home.
- Being a positive role model to our young people and promoting their independence through a range of activities.
- General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation.
- Having fun with our young people!
Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
We are simply looking for people who care, and have:

- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team.
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, and it would be great if you have a current and valid UK driver's licence.
