We are currently seeking experienced HGV 2 drivers with all levels of ADR minus 6 to work for a friendly family run business based in Basildon. The company delivers hazardous freight to close by locations. You will be expected to drop anywhere between 12-16 pallets daily. You will be required to liaise with the warehouse on arrival to get the vehicle loaded with the correct items before starting your round, these will be forklifted on for you.
Start times: 6/7am Minimum 8 hours guaranteed pay Monday to Friday 10-12 hour shifts
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure load is safe
- Responsible for ensuring correct items are loaded onto the vehicle
- Report any issues to the client and to REC source
- Complete relevant paperwork at each delivery
- Follow the rules and regulations of the highway code
- Safely deliver each drop
- Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- No more than 6 points on your licence (No DR or TT)
- Digital taco and CPC issues in the UK
- Minimum of 1 year recent HGV2 driving experience
- Full UK driving licence
- All levels of ADR are essential, but please reach out if you only hold some but not all levels.
