MECHANICAL FITTER
DESCRIPTION
Dismantle and assemble a range of rotating equipment, specifically pumps. Occasionally working on customers sites around the UK but primarily within the Northwest of the UK.
You may be required to stay overnight and must hold a full UK driving license.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Use of all standard workshop machinery
• Accurate recording of information and observations on internal job cards
• Dismantling and re-assembling of rotating machinery and equipment
• Ensuring tools and equipment are correctly stored and maintained.
• Attending training courses
• Participation in the Workshop On-Call Rota
• Ensuring a safe and clean work environment
• Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry
• Good communication skills
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Time served as a Mechanical fitter or have at least five years commercial industrial experience
• Must have experience of rotating equipment, specifically pumps
• Knowledge of testing rotating equipment, both electrically and mechanically
