Due to continued growth, I’m currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen. As the Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for ensuring quality engineering of components using relevant procedures and methods.

Shift pattern for the Manual Machinist:

  • Rotating double days (week one 6am – 2pm) (week two 2pm – 10pm)

  • Competitive hourly rate up to £17.00 DOE
  • Monthly bonus
  • Production bonus

Duties of the Manual Machinist:

  • Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings and specifications
  • Manual Milling
  • Manual Turning
  • Boring
  • Setting one off components using clamps, angle plates, etc.
  • Correctly identifying parts using hard stamping.
  • Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation.
  • Carry out daily bookings against route card jobs and timings.
  • Inspection for all components throughout the process.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and comply with the Company’s H&S Policy.

The successful candidate for the Manual Machinist position will have the following experience:

  • Time Served Apprenticeship, with an appropriate craft or technical qualification (preferable)
  • Experience milling, boring and turning within a heavy engineering environment (Essential)
  • Able to read and interpret technical Engineering drawings (Essential)
