A brilliant opportunity for a specialist in multispectral image processing to work as an Imaging Scientist in Cambridge. This offers the chance to work in advanced imaging technologies in an exciting, highly collaborative start-up environment.
Location: Cambridge
Salary: Β£50,000 - Β£70,000
Requirements for Imaging Scientist:
- Ideally, a Ph.D. in closely related subject in Optics, Computer Science, Physics etc. (Masters + Commercial experience as a minimum)
- Ideally, you will have relevant commercial work experience
- Strong knowledge in multi-spectral imaging, radiometry and light reflection modelling
- Proficiency in Python & MATLAB
- You enjoy working in an R&D environment
- Brilliant collaboration & communication skills
Responsibilities for Imaging Scientist:
- Process and analyse spectral data to extract valuable information.
- Break down spectral signals to determine material composition based on their unique reflectance characteristics.
- Design and implement algorithms for image processing, spectral analysis, and material identification.
- Perform lab-based experiments to fine-tune and verify the accuracy of imaging systems and techniques.
- Work closely with a diverse R&D team to incorporate spectral imaging insights into various projects and product development activities.
- Record procedures and outcomes, and communicate findings clearly.
