RESPONSIBLE TO: Nurse – Staff- Level 1
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Unit Manager
LOCATION: Eaglewood
TERMS: 38.5 hours per week (shift pattern)
RATE: £12.85 - £13.90 per hour (dependent on experience)
Key Areas of Responsibilities:- Organising the care staff team to ensure that the residents’ individual health action plans are implemented in consultation with the residents, their relatives and key professionals.
- Dispense medication – medication training will be provided for dispensing medication.
- Provide support and supervision of care staff when on duty, as directed by the Nurse in Charge.
- Providing ongoing monitoring, support, and assessment of residents’ physical, emotional, environmental, physiological and social needs.
- Assisting residents with personal care including, washing, bathing and dressing.
- Promote personal, social skills and social and leisure activities for all residents for occupation or stimulation.
- Complete delegated caring tasks and inform Registered Nurse in Charge of any observations as directed.
- At least 1 year experience of working as a Team Leader or equivalent.
- Compassionate and caring.
- Must be able to drive and prepared to drive our vehicles.
- Some understanding of specialist neurological care environment.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Self-motivated, with ability to work as part of a team.
