This is a 12-month maternity cover. This is an exciting position which will offer the right candidate the opportunity to work in the regulatory sector to drive EDI in the solicitors’ profession. This is a hybrid role, with one or two days in the office (Birmingham, London or Cardiff) and the rest at home. The role As part of a small team working in the SRA’s Strategy and Innovation directorate, you will have an opportunity to work on a range of ambitious projects to deliver the SRA’s strategic EDI priorities. You will work with solicitors, law firms and other stakeholders, to better understand the EDI challenges facing the profession and share best practice. You will promote awareness of our EDI work in the profession, including through events and social media. You will work with colleagues across the business, providing expert advice and guidance on EDI matters to help us meet our public sector equality duties. You will be able to contribute to our inclusive culture and may have an opportunity to support with our internal EDI training and policies, but this is not an HR role. Some travel will be required to the SRA’s other offices, or for meetings with stakeholders or attendance at events.
