We are ideally looking for one year's practice experience, studying AAT Level 2 / 3.

You will play a key client-facing role. We are seeking a pro-active individual to join the team who loves attention to detail and thrives in a dynamic, busy environment. This role will suit an individual studying AAT, with experience in practice, wishing to join our team near Cheltenham. This is an office-based role.
What will you be doing:
- You will have responsibility for maintaining the accounting records for a wide range of clients, preparing VAT Returns and assisting with other accounting work. You must have bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Carry out bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients using Xero and Hubdoc.
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT Returns.
- Scanning and processing invoices and receipts from Hubdoc to Xero.
- Processing client records on Xero.
- Bank account reconciliations.
- Reviewing client Xero ledgers.
- Onboarding of new clients including compliance checks, due diligence and setting up software for use by clients.
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll records to include pension returns.
- General finance administration tasks.
- Regular communications with clients.
What you’ll need:
- Study support will be provided for the right candidate looking to study AAT or equivalent and looking to complete an Accountancy Qualification, or equally somebody suitably qualified by experience.
- Online Accounting software experience (essential), Xero (preferred).
- Bookkeeping experience to include sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- UK based Accountancy Practice experience, at least 1 year.
- Flexible, motivated and a pro-active team member, who can make a positive impact to the practice.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
