Project CAD Team Lead Location: Scunthorpe Salary: £40,000 – £47500 (dependent on experience) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM About the Role We are seeking a Project CAD Team Lead to oversee and develop a team of CAD designers, working on steel and fire-hazardous projects across various industries. This role involves managing major clients, ensuring the highest design standards, and supporting less experienced designers in their professional growth. Key Responsibilities * Lead and mentor a team of CAD designers, providing technical guidance and support. * Work closely with key clients to understand and meet project requirements. * Oversee the design of steel and fire-resistant products across multiple sectors. * Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. * Improve efficiency by streamlining CAD processes and workflows. * Review and approve CAD drawings before final submission. * Coordinate with internal teams, including production, engineering, and project management. * Provide training and development opportunities for junior team members. * Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. Requirements * Proven experience using SolidWorks, with knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or other 2D/3D design platforms. * Strong background in CAD design, particularly within steel and fire-resistant applications. * Experience leading or mentoring a CAD team. * Excellent understanding of industry regulations and safety standards. * Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. * Strong communication and leadership skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
