About our client: Our client is a very well-established business working with lots of domestic and commercial partners supplying lighting products across the UK. They are seeking a Logistics Planner to play a fundamental part in the operational success through meticulous planning and strong communication, whilst maintaining good working relationships with the product distribution and fulfilment team.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Fulfilling on customer orders through strong logistical planning with various e-commerce channels including, distribution centres, drop-shipping and regional consolidation centres.
- Provide regular updates to the business on logistics plans and potential delivery challenges.
- Proactively monitor and address potential delivery delays caused by quality control issues or shipment delays, ensuring timely communication.
- Approach any problem with a calm and positive attitude with the aim to reduce delays and keep the wheels in motion.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and contributing to risk identification and resolution.
Skills / Experience required for the role:
- Proficient user of Microsoft Applications including Outlook & Excel.
- A problem solver with a good approach to resolution.
- Excellent communicator across all channels including over the telephone and over email.
- Thorough organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Process-driven with strong administrative skills.
- Experience in a similar based role would be advantageous.
