Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Trade Counter / Forklift Driver candidate to join a busy builders merchant in High Wycombe. This is a full-time permanent role and a great opportunity to join a brilliant employer that truly values their staff.
Salary: £33k to £35k per annum (DOE)
The working hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:30pm and 1 Saturday on 1 off 7:00am to 11:30am
This role involves:
- Generate and qualify leads
- Manage and update customer database
- Make sales calls and schedule appointments for Branch Manager
- Propose new products based on market demand
- Stay updated on new products and legislation
- Set customer pricing in coordination with Branch Manager
- Build relationships with customers and suppliers
- Monitor competitor pricing and performance
- Prepare and send quotations
- Ensure customer satisfaction and strong relationships
- Prepare and execute sales action plans
- Report on customer quotations
- Assist at the Trade Counter as needed
- Open new Trade Cash Accounts and track sales
- Perform other duties as required
- Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines
To be considered for this role you must have / be:
- Previously worked in a builders merchant environment
- Previous experience bringing on new business through cold calling
- Previous experience working within a trade counter role
- Fluent English speaking, reading and writing
- The ability to work as part of a small team and on own initiative
- Computer literate
- Comfortable speaking to customers face to face and over the phone
- A strong numeric skills to work out pricing & material quantity with customers
