We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to predominantly carry out mechanical extraction replacements and upgrades. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of electrical systems related to mechanical extraction units, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, replace, and upgrade mechanical extraction systems, including wiring and control connections.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults related to extraction units and ventilation systems.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets current regulations (e.g., BS 7671 Wiring Regulations).
  • Conduct electrical testing and inspection on completed installations.
  • Collaborate with other trades and engineers to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Experience in electrical installations, particularly within mechanical extraction systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Desirable:
  • Inspection & Testing Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395).
