Grafton Banks Finance are working with a rapidly growing commercial company with offices in Brighton, East Sussex area to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full time permanent basis. Working 3 days in office and 2 days from home you will be reporting into the Senior Management Accountant and working in a small friendly busy finance function. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Processing sales ledger invoices Reconciling payments and maintaining a clean sales ledger Importing bank statements into accounting system daily Bank reconciliations Processing purchase ledger invoices and checking back to purchase orders Preparing weekly payment runs for suppliers Setting up bank transactions such as transfers and payments for expense claims and one-off purchases Supporting the Management accountant in the month end processes, including journal preparation, intercompany postings on the finance system and reconciliation of some control accounts Accuracy of accounts payable including invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations and assisting in the preparation of supplier pay run. Assisting with Accounts Receivable cash postings, allocations, refunds, reconciliations and answering sales related queries Ensuring completeness and accuracy of invoices matched to purchase orders in the purchasing system Revenue reporting.
