We are currently recruiting for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to work on a detailed design project on behalf of our Surrey based client, a major oil & gas and energy engineering contractor. Candidates must have experience in the detailed engineering phase of projects, particularly in handling packages, to assist in designing process control systems based on DCS, ESD & FGS systems.
Job Description:
- Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables, including P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
- Work in the detailed engineering phase of projects, with a focus on handling packages.
- Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
- Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and new packages.
- Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
- Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
- Assist in the development of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
- Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
- Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.
Requirements:
- Experience in Brownfield onshore projects.
- Experience working with multiple centers.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Middle Eastern projects and familiarity with related work processes.
Job Details:
- Start date: ASAP
- Location: Surrey. Up to 2 days WFH may be possible
- Rate: c. £55 p/h (Ltd Co rate)
- Duration: Initial 8 months contract. Expected to fall outside of IR35 pending a pre contract assessment
- All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
