We are working with a small independent fostering agency who are actively looking for a new home-based Supervising Social Worker to join their growing agency which caters to children with disabilities.
This is a home-based Supervising Social Worker role, full time (37.5 hours per week), covering a caseload of families in the East Midlands and Cambridge areas. Occasional visits to the office in Kent will be required.

Role and responsibilities of the Supervising Social Worker:
You will provide professional supervision and developmental support, advice and guidance to a small number of fostering families based in the East Midlands and Cambridgeshire areas. You will be part of an aspirational fostering team which upholds the core values and beliefs of the organisation and contributes to the growth and development of the agency. This includes ensuring that children, young people and foster carers receive a high-quality service, and that progress and achievements are recognised and celebrated.
For this Supervising Social Worker role, it’s essential that you have:
- Either a Degree in Social Work (BA), Master’s Degree in Social Work, or a Diploma in Social Work (DipSW).
- A current Social Work England registration.
- Strong ethos of keeping the child at the centre of your work.
- Strong sense of ability to support the needs of a wide range of disabled children.
- A stable career history and knowledge of fostering services.
- A willingness to continue to learn and broaden your knowledge in relation to disabilities and communication methods.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
