Staffline are currently recruiting for a Transport Clerk to join our client based out of Blyth, Nottinghamshire. The rota for this position will be Sunday to Thursday 22:00 - 06:00. The PAYE pay rate is £15.05 per hour with overtime after 40 hours of £22.58. The role will consist of managing all aspects of transport clerical duties for the site, being part of a team that is responsible for vehicle administration. Manage customer service both internally and externally. To support the transport operation in strict adherence to company process (Operations Manual) and current legislation in relation to Operator Licensing and Health & Safety requirements.
Your Time at Work
- Assisting in the compilation of weekly transport data.
- Assisting in the management and recording of driver hours.
- Ensure that all drivers are pre-briefed and debriefed in conjunction with the debrief system and that all paperwork is accurately completed and signed.
- Allocation and debrief on Microlise.
- Ensure all tachographs are downloaded in full at the beginning and end of each driver's shift in accordance with legal compliance.
- Handle day to day queries from drivers, customers and other internal departments.
- Liaise with warehouse operations in regards to load availability.
- Liaise with National Planning on paragon routes and acceptance of plan.
- Liaison with vehicle maintenance contractors.
- Responsibility for Network trailer census, input and publication of trailer locations.
- Liaising with stores to keep them up to date with any delivery problems.
- Tachograph card control, DQC card and Licence checked in line with legal compliance.
- To carry out 'Front of house' duties in issuing paperwork, keys, fuel card etc.
- To assist department in taking all drivers phone queries, and logging all calls.
- Assist FLM in compliance duties including defect recording, trailer and unit servicing.
- Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team.
