Your responsibilities as a Plant Workshop Foreman include:

  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of a variety of plant machinery.
  • Managing a team of technicians responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of plant machinery including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and more. This involves assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and monitoring performance to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance and repair work meets the required standards of quality and safety.
  • Providing support and mentoring for less experienced Plant Fitters.
  • Managing inventory levels of generator parts, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work.
  • Interacting with customers to understand their Plant hire rental needs, providing cost estimates, and communicating updates on the status of Plant Hire maintenance and repair work.

Experience essential for this Plant Workshop Foreman role:

  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.
  • Must have previous experience working as a Plant Workshop Foreman in an engineering industry.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in a form of engineering preferable but not required.
  • A can do attitude.
