Your week: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8.45am - 5pm)

Location: Milton Keynes - 1 day in office minimum

Snapshot of your role:
  • Manage a caseload of high-level safeguarding and domestic abuse cases, ensuring a trauma-informed, customer-led approach to risk assessment and safety planning.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on safeguarding concerns and ensure effective reporting procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to ensure a cohesive support network for individuals affected by abuse.
  • Participate in regional safeguarding panels, MARAC meetings, and relevant forums to ensure best practices are maintained.
  • Regularly visit refuges to ensure health and safety compliance, offer housing advice, and support customers.
  • Share important information with internal teams and external partners while adhering to confidentiality and data protection standards.
  • Promote an abuse-aware culture within the business and raise awareness of safeguarding issues.
  • Manage budgets effectively to support customers' needs and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and respond to cases of abuse in line with internal procedures and legislation.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Focus on enhancing customer safety, wellbeing, and tenancy sustainment, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and trust in the service.

  • Experience supporting individuals facing abuse and multiple disadvantages.
  • Strong knowledge of domestic abuse, its impact on victims, survivors, and children.
  • Understanding of perpetrator behaviours and safeguarding practices.
  • Experience working within multi-agency frameworks.
  • Skilled in risk assessments, safety planning, and risk management for adults and children.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in IT systems and record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of equality and diversity principles.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Comfortable working in challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
