We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced AV Maintenance and Installations Technician to join our team in Hampshire. Our core team has worked together since 2001, bringing their combined experience to every aspect of AV Integration, across the UK and Europe and around the globe. Together we strive to provide professional design, installation and maintenance services to clients ranging from Cathedrals and blue-chip corporations to Government bodies and societies.
Main day to day duties will include:
- Maintenance Engineering: To take the active role in all customer maintenance work. Carry out both preventive maintenance and unscheduled support visits in support of the Maintenance manager for all the WAVI clients as needed. To proactively provide email and telephone support calls for our maintenance clients referring more complex issues to the Lead engineer. To actively manage maintenance tickets within the ConnectWise ticketing platform. To provide out of hours and weekend support on an occasional basis if required. To take an active role in completing maintenance reports, keeping records and documentation trails up to date. To assist the installation team with build/install projects as required, helping to ensure continuity of engineering from installation to support and maintenance.
- Installation Team Support: To assist on occasion, the technical director and sales team in the design stage of projects, to help ensure maintainable solutions are produced, tasks may include research and documentation. To input, update and help collate all customer and supplier data as required by software systems in use. To carry out in house maintenance tasks, such as PAT testing of any Installation portable equipment, Ladder and vehicle checks and maintenance of company systems. To undertake supplier training courses on new equipment and systems that may be implemented within installation projects.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be located in Hampshire, and have the right to work in the UK.
- Be keen to learn and broaden their AV skills, through in house mentoring, manufacturer led trainings and industry standards training.
- Be willing and able to travel with the team to our client's site, and on occasion work away from home.
- The work will involve both maintenance/support and system installation, but the focus will be the former. Sitework could include cabling, termination, equipment installation and commissioning support. The role will be a junior level with opportunity to grow quickly for the right candidate.
Candidate Requirements:
- Have a good baseline understanding and experience with a broad range of AV equipment.
- Understand and demonstrate good practical termination skills.
- Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be fluent in modern computing, both hardware and software.
It would be advantageous if you had:
- ECS or CSCS health & safety certification.
- Audinate Dante certification level 1.
- Crestron technicians track 101.
- QSYS level 1.
- CTS.
- Extron AV associate.
