Scope of the Role

As a Senior Design Engineer, youll take ownership of projects from concept to production, applying strong technical skills to deliver innovative solutions.

• Lead multiple projects from initial concept through to completion.

• Design innovative solutions with 3D CAD, such as SolidWorks, and develop detailed production drawings.

• Apply design for manufacture and assembly principles, including injection moulding, castings, and machining.

• Engage in prototyping and testing to validate and optimise designs.

• Mentor and support junior team members to foster technical excellence.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Innovation, or Industrial Design.

• Proven experience in mechanical or product design engineering.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex projects.

• Expertise in SolidWorks and a proven ability to produce production-ready designs.

• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection moulding, sheet metal, and machining.

Salary and Benefits

• £50,000 – £55,000 base salary.
