We are looking for Supplier Managers to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.
These roles are all about collaboration with your team, Commercial Leads, suppliers and other key stakeholders to ensure a seamless procurement service to the organisation, supporting DWP’s day-to-day operation and development.
You’ll build the skills and experience to manage contracts, relationships, and procurements that ensure our digital teams have the tools, frameworks, software and partnerships to deliver a once-in-a -change to public services.
We have two roles available.
One sits within the Digital Modernisation and Efficiency Directorate. This team delivers and improves DWP services and products that impact some of the most vulnerable people in society. We’re looking for people who are as motivated by that unique purpose as we are. You will be supporting the delivery and management of key supplier relationships across the lifecycle.
The second role is within our Digital Security Transformation Programme. This Programme is working to improve the strength of the Department’s Cyber Security by embedding security controls to ensuring we are secure. Note this role is based in Blackpool only, whereas the previous role is available in all other locations listed.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
- Experience in gathering requirements for supplier engagements and collaborating with Commercial Directorate to place relevant contracts.
Ensuring the contract delivers value for money.
- Experience of building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues, Senior Managers and stakeholders.
- Experience of working with financial management information, monitoring budgets and an understanding of financial forecasts.
- Evidence of delivering to deadlines in a fast paced and ever-changing environment with conflicting priorities.
- Evidence of strong communication and engagement skills with the ability to negotiate favourable outcomes for the Business and Department.

Location: You’ll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model – you’ll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to 37,497.
Pension: You’ll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to 10, 862 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 24 days and rising to 26 days after one year.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You’ll also get all the usual public holidays.
