Our client is looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team at a modern recycling facility. This is a hands-on role working on machinery used in the SRF production process.
Main DutiesMaintain, repair, and install machinery (shredders, conveyors, balers, screens)Carry out routine checks and preventative maintenanceFind and fix mechanical faultsWork with electrical and automation teams when neededTake part in shutdowns, upgrades, and project workKeep maintenance records up to dateFollow all health & safety procedures
Experience NeededExperience in recycling, waste, or similar industrial environments is idealAble to read mechanical drawingsCMMS knowledge is usefulForklift, MEWP, or confined space certificates are a bonus
Key SkillsGood problem-solving skillsStrong focus on safetyAble to work alone or as part of a teamGood communication and record-keepingWilling to work shifts and respond to callouts
