A field-based territory sales role inheriting an established and well-performing area, selling a range of tools, fixings, ironmongery and industrial supplies to end-users across a wide range of vertical markets, including construction, manufacturing and engineering.
Package: circa £37k-£40k basic with both monthly commission and quarterly bonuses. Hybrid company car, 25 days holiday and pension scheme.
Territory: East Coast with the focus on Edinburgh, Kirkcaldy, Dundee & Dunfermline.
Products: Power tools, hand tools, tool accessories, ironmongery, fixings, fasteners, sealants, adhesives, workwear, PPE and industrial supplies.
Customers: Construction and industrial end-users across house builders, contractors, manufacturing, engineering, councils, education and oil & gas.
The Role:
- You will inherit an established area and be responsible for managing, developing and increasing sales from an existing portfolio of accounts.
- Identify and win new business opportunities.
- Selling a range of power tools, hand tools, tool accessories, ironmongery, fixings, fasteners, sealants, adhesives, workwear, PPE and industrial supplies into end-users across a number of vertical markets.
- Key sectors include construction (house builders/contractors), manufacturing, engineering, councils, education and oil & gas.
- You will also work alongside and track projects with your manufacturing partners.
The Successful Applicant:
- You will be a field sales professional with a consultative and structured approach to sales.
- Applicants with either a construction, industrial or engineering background will be readily received, although this is not essential.
- My client will equally consider field sales professionals with transferable B2B sales skills.
- You will be as comfortable developing existing relationships, as you are tracking and winning new business.
