Our client is one of the largest mortgage brokers in the Southern area, and due to growth and expansion in the business is looking for a Compliance Officer to join the dynamic yet supportive team. This role would suit someone who is looking for a role with compliance management and has the ability and experience in overseeing and monitoring all processes and sales.
To be considered you must have a minimum of 2 years experience within mortgage and insurance compliance or have been a Mortgage Broker for at least 5 years and wanting to move into a compliance-based opportunity.
Key Duties- Monitor and assist with regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and findings.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Provide support to brokers on compliance-related matters.
- Report training concerns to the Training and Development Manager for delivery of remedial compliance training.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist with any customer interactions and complaint investigations or queries related to compliance issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay updated with changes in relevant laws and regulatory updates.
- CeMAP or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a compliance role (minimum of 2 years) or a mortgage adviser role.
- Knowledge of mortgage and protection advice industry is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm (1 hour lunch)
