Profile
Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established 27 years and is the market leader in the manufacture of furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacture and fit out Hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza.
This position will be suitable for candidates who have experience in assembly and some experience or an interest in training to operate a wood machine.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
- Basic Health and Safety awareness, including manual handling
- Furniture assembly
- Learn to operate our woodwork machinery.
- Quality checking and fault identification
- Packing products
- Backing off certain machinery within the factory
- Moving work in progress around the factory to the required locations.
Essential Skills:
- A willingness and desire to learn various aspects within the factory. Areas include Upholstery; Polish/spray; Furniture assembly and a variety of machines (Beam saw, CNC & Edge Bander)
- Working as part of a team and on own.
- Ability to work to a high standard of quality
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Proactive and able to use own initiative.
