We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Electrician to join our operations team, supporting both our food processing facility and remote salmon farm sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment critical to production, refrigeration, automation, and aquaculture infrastructure. This is a varied role involving work in a high-standard food factory environment and in the field at aquaculture (salmon farming) sites. A flexible, safety-conscious, and hands-on approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical systems in the food processing factory and at salmon farms.
  • Install and upgrade electrical components including motors, drives, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, and PLCs.
  • Diagnose faults quickly and efficiently to minimize production downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and health & safety regulations in all work carried out.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and keep accurate maintenance records.
  • Work with the engineering team to support capital projects and electrical system improvements.
  • Travel to remote salmon farm locations as required (travel and accommodation arrangements provided).
  • Respond to after-hours breakdowns on a rotating on-call schedule.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrician with recognized electrical certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices, including Lockout/Tagout procedures and HACCP compliance.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Experience with control systems, variable speed drives, and PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Full UK driving license (or local equivalent).
