Provide materials control support for wells operations across all aspects of inventory management.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Deliver material management support to drilling operations.
- Co-ordinate and liaise between onshore Engineering team and offshore Drilling Materials Controller, external suppliers, and warehousing providers to ensure timely delivery of materials to meet drilling schedules.
- Act as focal point for Kabal end-to-end process regarding materials, including vendor training, time planner preparation, issue/manage/close out cargo packages, monitor well consumption and inventories with Offshore DMC.
- Co-ordinate with Freight Management supplier and/or aviation supplier for any urgent air freight requirements.
- Provide real-time information on inventory material availability to key stakeholders.
- Resolve queries in relation to material status, supply, and/or availability and perform any required company ERP system interrogation.
- Perform all materials management processes within SAP for the drilling operations, undertaken in advance of any materials being physically moved.
- Identify requirements for marine vessels to support operations and pass these to company Logistics and SCM team for engagement with the assigned vessel Broker.
- Create Material Masters Requests for Wells equipment and requisitions for all Materials purchases for Wells in e-procurement system (SAP).
- Raise any Repair Orders required for Wells Equipment, ensuring relevant approvals are obtained before issuance.
- Support the resolution of discrepancies identified during inventory counts on Wells Materials.
- OCTG Materials planning for all wells operations, including engagement with suppliers and Wells Engineering team.
- Preparation of Well Reconciliation within 60 days of completion of drilling and completion operations.
- Participate in Inventory Count programme for third-party vendor sites and warehouses, carry out cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
- Analyse historical performance including risk profiling.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience Required
- Minimum 10 - 15 years in materials and inventory management in a Wells/Drilling environment.
- Strong system knowledge and experience - SAP MM Module, Kabal, and Microsoft Office (specifically MS Excel).
Qualifications/Competencies Required and Preferred
- Strong organisation skills with ability to manage conflicting priorities across diverse responsibilities with multiple stakeholders.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders both internal and external.
