We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor to be based at Preston Brook, Runcorn alongside our customer Saint Gobain Interior Solutions. You will be working Monday to Friday 06:00-14:30 & Monday to Thursday 13:30-22:00, Friday 11:30-20:00 rotating weekly.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations.
- Work closely with the onsite customer ensuring all operational requirements are met.
- Maintain a health and safety presence on site and challenge noncompliance.
- Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner.
- Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Good administrative skills.
- Have a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders.
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.
