About the Role
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an electrician with commercial experience to transition into the renewable energy industry. Full in-house training on solar PV and battery storage systems will be provided, with opportunities for career progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, maintenance, and commissioning of commercial solar PV, battery storage, and associated electrical systems.
- Work with LV AC and DC supplies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Install cable tray, trunking, SWA, and CAT5e cables to the required specifications.
- Conduct testing and inspection, ensuring systems meet regulatory and safety standards.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality installations.
- Follow health & safety protocols and best practices on-site.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during installations.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent).
- BS7671 18th Edition certification.
- Experience in cable management (tray, trunking, SWA, CAT5e cables).
- Knowledge of LV AC and DC electrical systems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team or independently.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Testing & Inspection certification (e.g., 2391/2392/2394/2395).
- Experience working in the renewable energy sector (solar PV, battery storage, or EV charging advantageous).
- Familiarity with grid connection requirements and electrical regulations.
