Class 2 Driver (Relocation Operative)
Location: London, Silvertown, E16 2BZ
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 45 hours per week (5 over 7 days)
Salary: Β£38,936.60 per annum
Are you a skilled Class 2 Driver with excellent manual handling abilities? Restore Harrow Green are looking for motivated individuals to become part of our dynamic team in Silvertown. This is more than just a driving roleβitβs an opportunity to take the lead in hands-on relocations, furniture installations, and team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate rigid commercial vehicles up to 18 tonnes
- Ensure safe handling, transportation, and installation of furniture and equipment
- Lead and manage small teams during relocations and installations
- Oversee small moves and projects, ensuring compliance with company and legislative requirements
- Develop and educate team members on best practices and company standards
- Maintain company standards, including accurate Waste Transfer Notes and daily vehicle checks
About You
- You will need to hold a full Cat C licence, Drivers CPC & DQC (Essential)
- Driving license with no more than 3 points (Essential)
- Proven experience as a Class 2 Driver in logistics or relocation, with strong manual handling skills (Essential)
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (Heavy lifting is involved with this role) (Essential)
- Desirable Certifications: FORS, ADR classifications, CSCS Card, IOSH Working Safely or equivalent, Asbestos Awareness
- Strong leadership, a safety-first approach, and excellent communication skills
