Our client is an established and well-respected manufacturer specialising in the pharmaceutical industry. They are currently recruiting a R&D Manager to support current and future pharmaceutical and packaging product development projects.
R&D Manager – Project Management
- Set the project direction, plan goals, define milestones, and make sure the deliverables align with the company's objectives.
- Plan and oversee project budgets, delivering projects within the planned timelines, managing key stakeholders' and third parties’ activities.
- Lead R&D’s overall risk assessment and issue management.
- Help prepare R&D documents and keep both physical and digital copies organized according to product guidelines.
R&D Manager – New Product Development
- Source and evaluate the capabilities and qualifications of contract developers/manufacturers to prepare/process components.
- Lead and organise product development activities internal and external if required.
- Lead and organise any non-clinical, scaling up, validation, stability, and tech transfer activities.
- Define specification of final product.
- Define and agree manufacturing process, assess the critical parameters, and provide technical input as required.
- Input in and prepare any R&D related documentation.
- Maintain the development documentation as per each product’s relevant guidelines.
R&D Manager - Candidate
- Technical competent with strong project management skills.
- R&D / Product Development experience gained in the pharmaceutical and/or packaging industry.
- Experience in scale-up manufacturing (bench to industrial/commercial) development.
- Experience in reviewing competitor products and old/new technologies to identify opportunities for competitive advantage through innovative product development.
The R&D Manager position is offering Circa. £45,000 basic salary plus benefits. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our client’s site in the Leeds area. All successful candidates will be contacted within 5 days of application for the position of R&D Manager.
