Salary: up to £30,000 per annum dependent upon experience, plus a competitive salary level including a 33% uplift on your basic salary whilst working on the late shift.

Aeropeople have partnered with a multinational conglomerate, a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, who are now looking to hire a permanent Manual Machinist, to be based at their site in Ramsgate. The successful candidate will be expected to be on site 5 days per week.
Established more than 60 years ago, they employ more than 21,000 employees in 35 different countries. They are a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets, recognised as a global provider of third-party MRO services to commercial, regional and general aviation customers as well as military, helicopter and business jet markets.
The role of the Manual Machinist will be to support the team with testing, inspecting, repairing and overhauling all components within the section. This will consist of aviation components.
There are various possible shift patterns available:
- Early: 06:00-14:15, Monday to Friday
- Day: 08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday
- Late: 14:15-00:30, Monday to Wednesday; 14:15-23:30, Thursday
Main Responsibilities:
- Setting/operating manual machines
- Repair aviation components to the highest quality, adhering to engineering drawings
- Ensuring that the products prioritised by the business are delivered on time
- Operating machine tools safely and productively, following company health and safety policies
- Strong understanding of grinding components with precision tolerances, especially within micron/thou levels
- Making sure all shop floor documentation is signed off and that all products and paperwork always correspond
- Commitment to meet production targets without ever compromising quality

About You:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering
- Previous experience of cylindrical, surface, internal and planetary grinding
- Computer literate - competent in Microsoft Office (highly desirable)
- Level 2 or 3 Engineering Qualification
