About the Role
As a Quality Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring that their products meet the highest standards of quality and are delivered on time to their wide range of customers. Reporting to the Quality Manager (an outstanding person who I have recently secured a role in this business), you will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, managing supplier quality, and supporting key quality and process initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee quality processes, including internal, supplier, and co-manufacturing quality.
- Manage defect control, calibration, and material approval processes.
- Support consumer complaint resolution and product quality standards.
- Analyse data to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and manage Quality Coordinators and Product Testers.
What You’ll need:
- HND/HNC or equivalent in a science or materials-based discipline.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of packing materials, ISO 9000/22000 standards, and statistical analysis.
- A data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CI tools and commercial acumen.
- Experience with Cape or similar palletising software (training provided).
