Project Development Engineer – Solar Energy

I’m currently looking to connect with talented Project Development Engineers who are passionate about clean energy and want to be part of meaningful solar projects — from early-stage development right through to delivery.

This role sits at the heart of what we do: turning ambitious solar concepts into real, bankable projects. You’d be working closely with cross-functional teams, landowners, local authorities, and EPCs, helping drive technical development while keeping a sharp eye on feasibility, design, and execution.

What you\’d be doing:

• Supporting the end-to-end development of solar PV projects, from feasibility through to construction
• Leading site assessments, early-stage design, and energy yield modelling
• Liaising with planning consultants, DNOs, and stakeholders to de-risk projects
• Providing technical input into procurement, financial models, and permitting processes
• Working with EPCs to ensure designs are buildable, efficient, and cost-effective
• Staying ahead of solar tech trends and evolving grid/regulatory requirements

What we\’re looking for:

• Solid technical background in solar PV or renewables
• Experience with project development (ideally across multiple project stages)
• Someone who can think ahead, problem-solve, and collaborate well with both internal and external teams
