Reporting to the Commercial Director, we are recruiting for a Senior QS to join a large SME Construction Group of companies with offices throughout the UK working on construction schemes up to £15 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of a portfolio of projects
- Compile programme-based cost to complete / project budgets
- Advising on procurement strategy
- Preparing subcontract documents, including bills of quantities
- Flag areas of Commercial Risk to Commercial Manager
- Sub-Contractor Procurement
- Prepare Costs for Tenders
- Undertaking CVRs
- Performing risk and value management and cost control
- Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risk
- Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
- Price up variations and obtain agreement with clients
- Agree Final Accounts
- Provide commercial advice to the site team as and when required
- Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
- Assist senior management with the preparation of contractual claims
