This company is on the look-out for an individual with great experience from the product development sector, ideally lighting or furniture, to take on the role of Design Manager for a 16-month full-time maternity cover role.

Our client creates beautiful furniture, lighting, fabrics and wallpapers through collaborations with a network of the finest craftspeople in Britain. Their designs combine responsibly sourced, high-quality materials and superb workmanship to ensure they endure for generations.

Supporting the Creative Director you will be responsible for leading the development of innovative and manufacturable furniture and lighting designs from the initial concept through to production handover. This role ensures that design intent is effectively translated into functional, high-quality designs that align to company objectives, while meeting the NPD timelines, technical requirements, and stakeholders expectations.

A full job spec will be sent out to all applicants that show the following:

  • A Minimum of 6 years relevant experience
  • A Degree in Design or a related field
  • Relevant knowledge and understanding of UK standards and legislations
  • A driving licence is essential as there will be a requirement for visiting workshops
  • Able to work to deadlines with strong planning, prioritisation, and time management skills
  • Able to demonstrate a genuine interest in environmental innovation and sustainability, particularly in the interiors sector
