What will I do as an Optical and Hearing Assistant?
This is your chance to be part of the most important aspect of our family business. You will be the first person to greet our customers as they enter our store, setting the tone for their visit because personalising the customer experience is intrinsic to our values. This is something we credit as one of the reasons why we have expanded to 35 branches since our beginning in 1928.
What really sets this role apart from any other is how integral our OHAs are across our customer-facing duties. This includes responsibility for our pre-screening assessments, performing retinal imaging examinations using our OCT and Optomap testing equipment, which is part of our ongoing technical and personal development package.
We stock a wide range of frames and accessories from top brands in all of our stores, creating bespoke consultative advice and support, catering to customers' prescription, style, and budgetary needs. The expert insight you’ll provide will be just another reason why our customers are with us for their whole hearing and eye care journey.
Am I suitable?
For this Full Time role in our Andover branch, working 5 days per week, Monday to Sunday. We are looking for people with strong customer service skills and a drive to go the extra mile. Experience working in retail, hospitality, or a caregiving environment is desirable but not essential.
