We are looking for a qualified Nursery Assistant to become part of our team. The ideal candidate should have a genuine passion for working with young children, strong communication skills, and a nurturing attitude. As a Nursery Assistant, you will contribute significantly to the daily operations of the nursery and support the holistic growth of the children in your care. Key Responsibilities : Assist in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote children’s learning and development. Ensure a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Support children with personal care routines, including feeding, toileting, and nap times. Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, maintaining open and effective communication at all times. Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their achievements and identifying areas for further growth. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create and maintain a warm, welcoming, and inclusive nursery environment. Comply with safeguarding and health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Qualifications and Experience : Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent. Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is preferred. Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
