Job Title: Private Client Solicitor Location: London Salary: £45,000 – £70,000 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Firm We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable law firm based in London, known for its expertise in private client matters. The firm has a longstanding reputation for delivering high-quality legal services to individuals and families, with a focus on providing tailored advice on a wide range of private client matters. With a supportive working environment and a client-centric approach, the firm offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Private Client Solicitor to join their expanding team. Key Responsibilities As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage a diverse caseload of matters, assisting clients with their personal legal needs. Your key duties will include: Advising clients on matters such as wills, probate, estate administration, inheritance tax, and trusts. Drafting wills and trusts, ensuring they meet clients’ personal and family needs while complying with relevant legislation. Managing estate administration and advising executors on their duties and obligations. Providing expert guidance on inheritance tax planning, tax mitigation strategies, and financial management. Assisting with applications for grants of probate and letters of administration. Advising clients on powers of attorney, including lasting powers of attorney (LPA) and deputyship orders. Building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, ensuring excellent client care and ongoing support. Liaising with other professionals such as accountants, financial advisors, and tax specialists as part of a holistic approach to client matters. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of client instructions and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key Skills and Experience Required Qualified solicitor with experience in private client law. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation. Excellent client care skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly and empathetically. Proven experience managing a varied caseload of private client matters. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage client expectations and meet deadlines. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Experience using case management systems is beneficial.
