We're on the lookout for a Financial Accountant to join a friendly and dynamic finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring the business meets its financial reporting obligations, maintains strong controls, and keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
This role is based in Birmingham 2-3 days per week, with a salary of up to £55,000.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries and managing the audit process.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and financial reporting obligations.
- Preparing VAT and tax returns, working with tax advisors to keep everything shipshape.
- Maintaining and reviewing control accounts and group balance sheets.
- Designing and reporting financial controls to help mitigate fraud and support compliance.
- Leading on asset management policies, controls, and reporting.
- Supporting the wider finance team to ensure resilience in operations.
What We're Looking For:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified
- Strong attention to detail and a highly organised approach to work.
- Experience using nominal ledger systems.
- Advanced Excel skills.
