About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design and develop special-purpose machinery for flatbed lamination and related industrial equipment, creating robust, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Design of mechanical solutions from concept to detailed drawings.
- Create 3D models and 2D technical drawings, focusing on sheet metal, fabrication, and automation systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure design quality.
- Analyse designs for functionality, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.
- Research and integrate new materials and technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in machinery design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D CAD) essential, AutoCAD (2D CAD) beneficial.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with electrical and pneumatic control systems in a mechanical design context.
