A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Programmes Export Operations Directorate for an accomplished and experienced Business Manager. Reporting to the Head of Export Contract Management UK, the successful candidate will demonstrate proven expertise in Business and People Management and will be responsible for the shaping and management of the functional organisation, governance and development of Export Business and Contracts.
Salary: Circa £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
- Provide recommendations and advice to the Head of Export Contract Management UK and ECM Executives in developing the Functional Organisation;
- Manage the day to day operations of ECM UK Export Contract Officers and interface with the Head of ECO (Fr) to ensure best practice is maintained across the PExO Group;
- Own, manage and report on Functional Budgets on behalf of the Head of Export Contract Management UK and PExO UK including WLF and resource planning;
- Management of Export Contract Management bidding process;
- Ensure compliance with MBDA Group Process, working with UK Compliance Officer, as required, to maintain awareness across the ECM Community;
- Establish, document and implement ECM UK Business Management framework and governance procedures;
- Manage cross-Functional / Team communication and promote the ECM UK identity across MBDA Group;
- Work with ECM Executives to identify and deliver Business Process Improvements;
- Interface with a wide range of MBDA stakeholders including PExO Senior Leadership team across MBDA Natcos;
- Structured career progression within the MBDA Export Contract Management Directorate;
- The opportunity to provide a significant business contribution to effectively manage and shape the expanding portfolio of MBDA export contracts;

- You will need to have proven expertise in business management and experience in contract delivery in the bid and execution phases, desirably with international customers;
- You will have a good understanding of MBDA products, services and processes as well as underpinning engineering principles;

- You will have effective interpersonal and communications skills with an open, confident and clear leadership style;
- You will have proven experience of people management in a leadership role as well as experience managing internal and external stakeholder relationships;
- You will be prepared for international travel with an open mind to embrace different cultures across the MBDA Group;
- You will have proven experience of interfacing with Corporate functions such as finance, legal, customer support, export control, project management, quality, shipping & engineering;
