Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting an Interim Project Finance Manager for a six-month interim assignment for a growing SME based in Maidstone Kent. 1-2 days onsite per week and the rest remote. The company requires a qualified accountant with previous systems migration experience for this specific role to migrate the accounts, systems and processes from a recently acquired business into the group company.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Lead the migration of the accountancy function from the acquired company to our accounting system.
- Ensure accurate transfer of trial balance, purchase ledger, and sales ledger data.
- Collaborate with the finance teams of both companies to align accounting practices and procedures.
- Develop and implement a detailed migration plan, including timelines and milestones.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Provide training and support to finance staff on the new accounting system and processes, where necessary.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the migration process.
- Assist with the reporting of brand P&L until fully migrated to the acquiring company's system.
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for senior management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees from the target company who are transitioning to the acquiring company.
Candidates need to be available at short notice and be able to commit to this entire assignment. The day rate is £350-£400 outside IR35.
