A highly successful manufacturing business is searching for a Controls Technician in the Midlands and North of England area.

Your Role

  • Handling the programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, end-to-end testing and servicing on assigned projects at client sites.
  • Documenting the requirements for point-to-point verification, the validation of the sequence of operations and also job close outs.
  • Ensuring that customer contact is kept professional and maintain a fantastic level of customer communication and service whilst on site.
  • Servicing products and equipment, identifying, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems.
  • Utilising all cutting-edge software and technology and hand-tools available to conduct work, as well as ensuring blueprints and engineering specifications are followed.
  • Working closely with the service desk, operations and sales teams to ensure strong communication channels are established with the aim of leveraging customer insights.
  • Generating reports for invoiced work orders.
  • Working with the regional and local service representatives.
  • Ensuring that health and safety is adhered to and taken seriously.

You MUST Have

  • Experience within a service or field-based engineering/technician role.
  • Good customer service knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, including leadership and the ability to drive and motivate teams.
  • Good knowledge of using relevant applications, diagnostic software and also MS Office to support work.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
  • Able to cover callouts and standbys if needed, including weekends and bank holidays (potential for overnight stays).
  • UK Driving license.
