Working for a successful business with operations in the UK, Europe and the US. As Financial Controller, you will play a central role in developing standardised finance processes and outputs across three main group companies. Your meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records to fulfil financial and statutory reporting requirements and underpin commercial decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Finance Director and the MD.
- Ensure all financial transactions and commitments are appropriately authorised, recorded and reported.
- Develop your understanding of financial legislation, tax processes and laws (UK, USA and Europe) ensuring the companies meet international requirements.
- Deliver statutory, audit and tax submissions across the different jurisdictions.
- Strengthen the operational control environment through process improvements.
- Oversee month-end and year-end for transactional accuracy and reconciliations.
- Review, analyse and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial results.
- Report on cashflow and transact hedging arrangements.
- Oversight of AP, AR/credit control, payroll and pension.
- Provide key process control checks and enable segregation of duties.
- Supporting international trade processes and stock recording.
- Continuously improve the financial system to ensure high quality and accessible information for commercial and reporting requirements.
- Develop and motivate the small finance team to grow their capabilities and foster a high performing culture.
- Maintain a record of financial processes, systems and controls.
- Additional responsibilities as a result of an evolving finance function that meets commercial growth, business change and regulatory developments.
