Are you a graduate who wants to become a teacher and needs classroom experience before applying on a PGCE course? Are you an experienced or newly qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a new role local to you in Broadstairs? Do you have an enthusiastic, positive and caring approach? Do you have experience of supporting children on a 1:1 basis across Key Stage 1?
Successful candidates can start ASAP and work through to the end of the school year, with the potential of this being extended and becoming a permanent member of staff.
Successful Candidates will:
- Have a team player approach
- Be adaptable and flexible
- Have experience of supporting children of all learning abilities
- Have strong behaviour management and good communication skills
- Provide continued support for the teacher within a chosen classroom
- Carry out one to one and/or small group work with students
- Provide tuition and booster sessions with pupils working at a lower ability or on the Special Educational Needs register
You will:
- Have either a Degree or Masters
- Have experience on your CV where you have worked with students in some capacity (ie Youth Work/ Teaching Assistant/ University Ambassador/ Graduate Tutor, etc).
- Be passionate about working in a school
- Be ambitious with a strong yet also outgoing and warm personality
- Be flexible and adaptable
- Have experience of working in KS1 Classroom Settings
