They operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and have a strong international presence across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, continuously driving innovation in power testing.
We are seeking a Contract Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks Electrical to support two key projects focused on product and process improvements. The role involves creating electrical schematics from scratch, designing wiring diagrams, and ensuring seamless integration with mechanical systems. You will collaborate with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers while contributing to the design and development of both new and existing products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for load banks and data centres, ensuring compliance with project specifications, performance requirements, and safety standards.
- Use SolidWorks Electrical to create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and software systems.
- Ensure all designs adhere to industry regulations, including safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to align electrical systems with control, automation, and structural requirements.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and technical specifications, ensuring all design changes are well-documented and communicated.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support prototyping and testing, troubleshooting and optimising designs based on feedback and performance data.
Experiences required:
- Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical for designing and modelling electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and 3D models.
- Experience integrating electrical components into mechanical systems using SolidWorks.
- Prior experience designing electrical systems for industrial equipment, load banks, data centres, or power distribution systems.
