Role Overview: Our client is seeking a qualified Surveyor to join their Residential Valuation team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for residential valuations to be part of a growing and successful team within a national practice.
As a Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting residential property valuations across a wide range of property types and instructions. These valuations will be diverse, ranging from single assets to large investment portfolios, including developments, with an emphasis on scale and complexity. The primary focus will be on loan security purposes, as well as valuations for financial statements, acquisitions, disposals, and client internal decision-making. You will employ various valuation approaches, such as comparable, DCF, and residual appraisals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake residential property valuations across the North East and North West, including single assets, large investment portfolios, and developments.
- Carry out valuations for loan security, financial statements, acquisition, disposal, and clients' internal decision-making.
- Use comparable, DCF, and residual appraisal methods for valuation purposes.
- Produce high-quality reports with strong attention to detail and present them in MS Word.
- Handle large datasets and provide detailed data analysis.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering clear and justified approaches to clients regarding valuations.
- Supervise and coach junior colleagues where necessary.
- Manage multiple competing priorities and work under pressure.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- MRICS qualification (essential), ideally with 1-2+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- RICS Registered Valuer.
- Strong experience in the valuation of residential property assets of all types.
- Proficiency in MS Office systems, especially for data analysis and report writing.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to produce high-quality, accurate reports.
- Experience building and sustaining client relationships.
- Ability to explain and justify valuation approaches and assumptions to clients.
- Strong work ethic, committed to excellent client service.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and a team player.
